We are pleased to introduce our new trio jazz CD: The Late Late Show featuring pianist Rick Roe, bassist Paul Keller and drummer Gerald Cleaver. It is an imaginative blend of three standards ("Someone's Rockin' My Dreamboat," "The Late Late Show," and "My Old Flame"), three bebop classics ("Visitation," "Dizzy Atmosphere," and "Eronel"), four cool original pieces by Roe and Keller ("Five Twenty Two," "Close To The Equator," "Song For Deborah," and "Cloud Nine") and a nifty arrangement of themes from Star Wars called "The Princess and Darth Blues."

Pianist Rick Roe is well known to jazz lovers in the Midwest as one of the finest keyboard artists in the region. He was the winner of the 1994 Great American Piano Competition and semifinalist in the 1993 and 1999 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competitions. Rick's previous CDs, Monk's Modern Music (Unknown Records) and The Changeover (Unknown Records) have received attention and praise throughout the world.

Bassist Paul Keller wears many hats. He is a jazz bassist extraordinaire, composer, arranger, producer, big band leader and general instigator of jazz mischief. Keller's previous CDs include Tall Corn (BOPO), Pipe and Slippers (BOPO), Hallelujah Train (BOPO), BINGO! (BOPO) and Project X (BOPO).

Keller appears on Diana Krall's Grammy nominated CD All For You (Impulse) and guitarist Russell Malone's CD Black Butterfly (Columbia).

Drummer Gerald Cleaver is in great demand, traveling the world and performing with many jazz luminaries such as Jackie Terrason, Henry Threadgill and Roscoe Mitchell.
